A BSL Guide to Make Parkrun More Accessible

Earlier this year Parkrun UK set up the PROVE project (Parkrun Running or Volunteering for Everyone) This a great and active way to help make Parkrun events much more accessible and welcoming for disabled and those with long term health conditions. Parkrun has exclusively set up a series of British Sign Language (BSL) videos to support people with hearing loss. Who would like to get involved with this exciting local parkrun?

Whether you walk, jog or run, regardless of how fit you are, parkrun is for everyone!

If this sounds like something you’d particularly want to get involved in, have a watch of the videos where former parkrun champions Philippa, Victoria, and Nic give a breakdown of what the parkrun entails. Their aim is to encourage deaf people to take part if they haven’t before and give it a go.

These videos on Parkruns YouTube channel explain exactly what Parkrun is, how it works and what’s covered in a pre-event briefing.

Give them a watch now!
