If you’re from Peterborough, you’ll know sits a big Amazon warehouse. What you might not know is that not only do they provide many jobs for those of Peterborough, they love to give back and support our local community. This month, Amazon kindly donated £1,000 to David Wait’s series of challenges! An incredibly kind and generous donation that every at Inspire and Disability Peterborough would like to say a massive thank you for!
Several team members from Amazon were keen to meet us on Wednesday 15th August, to see the centre and take a look at all of the great work we do.
We played host to Martin Cox (GM), Melanie Hobson, Andrew Pinnock, Eric Schultz, Gywn Martyn and Nikki Brinkman at our Amilly Fitness gym – even Miss Peterborough 2018 showed up to join in on the fun! You can check out some of the great photos below for all the fun we had with our Tai Chi instructor, Andy Draco!
Speaking on the donation, Site Leader at Amazon Peterborough, Martin Cox, said:
“We are glad to support such a great cause. Disability Peterborough helps countless people within our community and gives them the tools they need to achieve independence. We were delighted to be invited to the Inspire event – a very ‘hands-on’ introduction! It was lovely to see people coming together to support such a great charity.”
Melanie thank you so much for all the amazing support you are giving David and Disability Peterborough, it really will make a big difference to disabled people and their families who live locally.
If you would like to support and congratulate David as he continues his many challenges, you can make a one-off donation, a donation per challenge, or a donation for a specific challenge by following this link.
