We are so very pleased to announce the return of Inclusive Skating!
There has been a few changes since last time, so please do read on.
Due to ice availability, we have moved the classes to Monday nights, from 6.30 to 7.30pm.
It’s every other week, starting Monday 21st May.
You will need to book and pay in advance by PayPal; so there will be no registration desk, Planet Ice will have a list of those booked at reception. No bookings can be taken on the night at the rink
We are starting with skating, but will include sledge soon too so watch this space.
The good news is we are keeping the £2 fee per person and Edward Barker will be your coach for the first session. No private lessons to strat with butthis might be a possibility moving forward.
The project is possible due to funding from the Horner Foundation for Special Olympics so we are particulary targeting young people with learning disabilities. Also, funding from Living Sport Satelitte Clubs so we are also hoping to reach inactive 14 to 19 year olds with disabilities. The latter group will be asked to complete a brief questionanaire on first arrival.
We will register with both Special Olympics and Inclusive Skating so those who wish to compete can do so.
Not all of the old group are on this facebook page so please do invite them and your friends to join the group. Also please can the orginal members help new members on the night at the rink, as this will help keep the project going.
We have made 7 bookings to begin with in line with Planet Ice’s bookings policy, we will review this in August subject to numbers attending.
To book please visit https://bookwhen.com/inclusiveskating.
Tickets will be available until noon on the day of the session. Only book those who will be going on to the ice, not spectators. We are not able to provide refunds for cancellations, but bookings can be transferred to another session.
As its all change please do bear with whilst we get started again, if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact Kay Greenaway on 01733 330815 or email@example.com.
Hope to see you back on the ice very soon!
