Ice skating is an activity where participants wear specialist footwear to propel themselves across the ice. These skates can have one single blade, or in some cases they have 2 blades (bob skates). Forms of ice skating include free skating, ice dance, synchronised skating, ice hockey and speed skating. There is also an option for participants to skate using an ice chair. See sledge hockey for adapted ice hockey.
