OPS Epee club launched in September 2011 and has expanded rapidly in both numbers and National presence. With one Medalists in the 2012 British Youth Championships, the club in 2013 won 3 BYC medals (including a Gold), dominated County Events and club fencers also won Gold and Silvers medals at the British School team championships.

The club is now looking to expand to include wheelchair fencing and are looking to create a national presence in this discipline as well.

How do I start the sport?

The club runs beginner corses through the year on our Monday evening session in Peterborough as well as Summer taster days which introduces new starters and brings them up to a standard to join our main club.

How much does it cost?

Once a beginner course/taster day has been completed the club fees are £5 per session.  This includes borrowing all required kit.

What do I need to wear?

Come along in t-shirt, track-suit bottoms and clean trainers and the club will have kit that you can borrow.

Specific instructions

Please do not just turn up as a beginner fencer to a training session as we do not have the facility to take beginners with no notice.

Level of expertise required

The club accepts total beginners (via beginner courses) all the way through to International level fencers.
