Vivacity run a programme which engages and works with young people and adults with disabilities to increase their participation in sport.

The  Vivacity scheme covers:

  • School curricular activities, breakfast, lunch and after-school clubs
  • Community Disability Sports Clubs including Peterborough Adapted Cycling Scheme
  • Short Breaks programmes
  • Supporting other sports clubs to set up sections for people with disabilities
  • Paralympic Legacy creating more opportunities in a range of sports

GP Exercise Referral Scheme

Vivacity also run a GP Exercise Referral Scheme Exercise Referral scheme, which is aimed to help users lead a healthier and more active life.

Our specialist programme can offer you the help you need if you are undertaking less than 150 minutes of physical activity a week, are aged 16 and over and living with any of the following conditions:

  • Obesity, diabetes or hypertension
  • Asthma or emphysema
  • Arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or osteoporosis
  • Depression, anxiety or stress-related illness
  • Any longstanding injury
