Living Sport, the charity, works to raise the profile and engagement of sport and to increase community participation across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, particularly through the delivery of Olympic & Paralympic Legacy programmes. We are part of the County Sports Partnership Network which is significantly funded by Sport England and works to promote equity and the safeguarding of young people participating in sport.
Living Sport’s Vision: Active and healthy communities where everyone can play, achieve and enjoy.
Living Sport’s vision is delivered by engaging with key local strategic priorities and partners and promote the importance and value of sport and highlighting the benefits it can bring to local communities. Through supporting sports clubs, organisations and the sporting workforce, Living Sport will help improve the quality and quantity of sport delivered in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Living Sport partners include District, City and County Councils, Health, School Sports Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport, (NGBs) and the Voluntary and Community Sector. (VCS)
Benefits of using Living Sport
Living Sport has a full time Disability Sport Coordinator who can support clubs and organisations to develop inclusive practices and appropriate disability activities. We can signpost people to local opportunities that already exist and also work with a range of partners to develop new activities where gaps in provision for those with disabilities exist.
