Inspire Peterborough and Vivacity Disability Sports have launched a three year programme of inclusive sports with partners Special Olympics Swimming Group, YMCA Cambs & Peterborough and Wednesday PHAB Club.

The inclusive sports programme will focus on outreach work taking our disability sports programme out to our customers and offers a range of ongoing disability sports sessions.

Table Cricket

Played on a table-tennis surface, this is great fun for participants with a range of disabilities including severe disabilities. Looking for teams of up to 10 members to take part in our festival. Register your team now!.

Aim for gold with this dynamic sport delivered by our friendly staff and volunteers. Delivered indoors Oct – March and outside April – Sept dependent on weather.

Friday 11.00am-12.30pm at Focus Community Centre in Dogsthorpe (Sept-March) & Emabnkment Sports & Athletics Arena (April-Sept). £2 per session.
Sunday 9.45am-10.45am at Werrington Leisure Centre. £24 for 6 sessions.

Enjoy the great outdoors and zoom around on our range of specially adapted cycles to suit a variety of disabilities.

Adapted cycling sessions currently run on Wednesday 10.30am-11.30am & 5.00pm-7.00pm at the Embankment Athletics Track. £2 per person per session.

Rebound Therapy

Rebound therapy is a rehabilitation service provided for people with learning or physical disabilities. It’s a form of physiotherapy involving the use of a trampoline and has become incredibly popular with people of all ages. Participants gain tremendous benefits from taking part in the sessions, helping them to overcome difficulties relating to physical health, communication, self-esteem and confidence and helping them have fun.

All-inclusive and disability-friendly sessions for all ages at Jack Hunt Pool & Gym (pay weekly £2 session)
• Lane swimming Friday 5pm-7.30pm

FINS disability swimming lesson for children age 5+ at Jack Hunt pool (pay Vivacity monthly by direct debit)
• Small group and 1 to 1 lessons Saturday 2-4pm

All inclusive and disability friendly swimming lesson for all ages at Regional Fitness and Swimming Centre (pay weekly £2 session)

Option 4 – Special Olympics
For anyone with a learning disability interested in swimming training and competition, the Special Olympics Swimming Group, train on a Friday and Sunday night at the Regional pool, see times have remained the same.
